A Year in the Life of an Americorps VISTA on the Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota

My name is Mark and I’m 29 years old. I’m currently serving as an Americorps VISTA on the Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota. My skills include web development, general computer wizardry, and musicianship.

This journal is meant to be informative about Native American issues and the state of affairs in the South Dakota Sioux reservations. It is also meant to chronicle my personal journey through VISTA service.

I live in Pierre, SD. I serve in Fort Thompson, SD

    Hello Mark!
I am very happy to find your blog! I am moving to SD later this year to become a teacher, and it is my goal to teach on the Crow Creek Reservation. I look forward to all your updates and first hand information. Feel free to email me with any advice or insight you might have. Thanks!
